Specification:
RFNC8 is a multifunction device designed specially for intelligent laptop battery testing and management. After the device is powered on, you just need connect it with computer through USB cable, and then according the battery management software we provided, you can control and manage 16-channel batteries to work.

Functions
1. Charge
Battery charging points following stages,the initial battery charge mode depending on battery starting voltage,the charging process may not need to activate and precharge
1) Pre-Charge
Condition:Single voltage is less than 3000mV
2) Constant Current
Condition:Single voltage 3000mV-4200mV, enter the fast charge,current depend
on the capacity.
3) Termination
At the end of charge:Constant voltage charging current will gradually decrease,
when the current less than termination current or power comes to 100%, and the
current less than 1A, end of charge.
2. Discharging
Internal constant current discharge,discharge current default is 500mA, up to 3A.You can set the discharge current through RFNC8 software ,bias may exist between the set point value and the actual value,specific value related with the battery.
Meet one of the following conditions,discharging natural end:
PercentageSet-point
VoltageSent-point
Discharge the current is zero.
3. Testing
By charging and discharging the battery in short time,test whether the charge/ discharge function is good. Charging 20s, discharging 10s.
The LED flash green after test successful,and the software prompts pop.
The LED flash red after test fails,and the software prompts pop.
Reasons of abnormal test and Countermeasure
Battery voltage is low,cause discharge failure. Try to charge the battery,increase the voltage and then test.
Battery power is too high,Cause charging failure.Attempt to discharge the battery,Continue after clear pending battery "full charge" flag.
Battery cable is bad
Equipment failure or battery is bad
4. Capacity Correction
After several recycling the battery,the actual power consumption and battery management chip records deviations. When the deviation reaches a certain level will affect the normal use. Power correction via a fully discharged battery to correct the record power management chip value,and full charging for battery.
Note:Discharge process follows the general discharge. If the end of the power and
voltage are set very low,discharge process may be "dropped cell" phenomenon. The
reason is the depth of discharge causing the battery can not communicate. In such
cases, only need active charging for the battery.
5. Stop: Stop the current job status
6. CD50% & DC50%
CD50%:After the first battery charge and then discharge to reach 50% of full charge capacity.
DC50%:After the first discharge capacity of 50% is charged to the full charge capacity
Charging and discharging all follow the general discharge end condition. Capacity correction,charge/ discharge 50% capacity all follow the general charging, discharging constraints.In particular, the depth of discharge can cause communication interruption, so need to set reasonable constraints
7. LED Instruction
Green light:Normal charge
Green flash:Task completion
Red light:Normal discharge
Red flash:Abnormal alarm (Reasons: No current charge, no current discharge,working overtime or activation fails)
8. Intelligent Protection
1). Over current protection, over voltage protection:
Under normal circumstances the current and voltage are within the limits, even though this part of the circuit malfunction,power outlet at the fuse can also ensure that the output current does not exceed 3A.
2). Circuit protection:
Hardware short-circuit protection,when the battery is reversed or shorted out,
not powered.
3). Active cooling:
Discharge status,(If the current exit)Fans starting;
Other status,when the temperature is higher than about 48 ℃ fan starts, when
the temperature is below about 40 degrees fan stops.
4). Abnormal Alarm:
Termination function being executed when an exception occurs, and the LED flashes red
Charge function,for a period of time (about 50s) there is no current
Discharge function,continue for a period time (about 25s) there is no current
charging more than 8.8H
